This autumn, due to the continuing risk from covid 19
of singing together in a room, we will continue chorus via Zoom.
Staying connected during these unprecedented times
not only with our local chorus friends but also with
friends old and new from across the continent
is a huge gift of the zoom format.
Please feel free to let singing friends know
about chorus, wherever they live!
Bodies, Voices & Spirit Choruses have been
looking into the essence of life through song since 2005.
We sing songs which point us to the natural world
and to our own true nature, including chants
from a large number of spiritual traditions,
and songs by Kathleen and other songwriters.
Chorus notes sent out each week give lyrics and links to
recordings of the songs so you can learn and sing
them at your leisure.
When we sing in the zoom format, you are able to hear Kathleen's voice,
guitar and piano, plus your own voice. On some songs, we join together
in singing and dancing Dances of Universal Peace as well as freestyle movement.
And you are always free to lie down and sing from your bed or floor
if you've had enough screen time that day!
We also have opportunities to speak together before, after
and sometimes during chorus, letting us know we're not
the only ones feeling what we're feeling, and hearing what's going
on in your life and neighborhood.
No experience is necessary. We are not a performing chorus.
We sing for the joy of being alive in the music.

Bodies, Voices & Spirit Choruses
Exploring the Heart of Life through Song since 2005
Singing in community is a human birthright!
Beginners and those with more experience
are all welcome to come explore, learn,
and have a joyful time doing it!
We sing songs from many faith traditions,
original songs by director Kathleen Hannan,
and other songs which point us to connection with nature
and to awareness of our own true nature .
Kathleen gives guidance based in her experience with
the Alexander Technique, Authentic Movement,
Dances of Universal Peace, the work of Byron Katie,
Rumi, Lao Tzu, and other mystical poets
and body/mind/spirit explorations.
We sing from the Heart, not to perform,
but for the pure joy of being together
in the music and in the world.

we call "Chorus". Thanks so much to everyone who has co-created
